What are Wall Decals?

April 11, 2007

Wallhogs     Many of our Customer Service phone calls and emails pertain to what or how wall decals work.  Simply stated, wall decals are images printed on an adhesive-backed material that are die-cut and measure anywhere from 6" and larger.  Pricing can vary between $20 up to $252 depending upon the size requested and the vast majority of printers offer up to eight sizes:  12", 24", 36", 48", 60", 72", 84" and 96" - with several offering any custom size you wish.

Nearly any image can be used to make a wall decal, however only about ten companies offer custom wall decals created from your photos or artwork.  Of course there are limitations to the size and types of images that can be used to produce wall decals, however we will cover this in an additional post that will explain the file types and how they work, as well as pixel resolution sizes.

Wallhogs was started in 2006, just as Fatheads started selling life-size decals of professional athletes, and was the fist wide format digital printer to offer custom wall decals, allowing customers to upload their own photos or artwork to be printed at various size wall decals.  With more than 12 year of experience, the only company to offer multiple decal materials for different surface types and the best pricing in the industry - GUARANTEED, you can trust that Wallhogs wall decal experts can enlarge and transfer you photo or artwork to any of our wall decal materials.  Have questions:  contact one of our wall decal experts via email at cs@wallhogs.com, or speak to them Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST at (877)900-HOGS(4647).
