Q: What products/services are offered by Wallhogs?
A:  Wallhogs provides our Photographer Partners several custom digitally printed products they may add to their existing lineup to include:
  1. Matte White Reusable Vinyl Wall Decals
  • For indoor use only in temperature controlled environments
  • Is easily installed and removed from flatsmooth, painted surfaces without leaving any residue
  • Can be repositioned up to five times for easy relocation
  • Can be contour or die cut around specific images
  • Stores easily on original backing material
  • Scratch, water and UV resistant inks for easy cleaning and maintenance
  • Semi-gloss finish providing for more vibrant colors
  • Several sizes available ranging from 12" up to 96"
  • 3 business day production
  • NOT FOR USE ON TEXTURED WALLS. Also, if area has recently been painted, paint must be allowed to cure 30 days prior to installing your wall graphic.

      Q: What are my prices?
      A:  Our partner program is based on a tiered discount structure. Following is pricing for the current structure at 25%, 28%, 31% and 35%.

      Q: Do you offer editing of images or graphics?
      A:  Wallhogs Graphics Specialists perform background removal FREE of charge for wall decals and red-eye removal for canvas prints, however if you require additional editing we do offer Graphics Creation and Editing Services at the industry standard of $65 per hour. Contact one of our Customer Service Representatives for more information. Any color corrections, sharpness or contrast should be performed prior to uploading an image into your account.

      Q: What are the maximum sizes for your prints?
      A:  Maximum sizes for single piece reusable vinyl, wall decor fabric, Photo-Tex fabric, Photo-Tex EXS fabric prints are (larger multi-piece prints available by contacting Wallhogs Customer Service at 877-900- 4647 or via email at cs@wallhogs.com):

      All images are printed in proportion and not distorted.

      Q: Are transparent materials available?
      A:  All removable/reusable materials are currently only available in white. The only transparent medias manufactured by any of the materials manufacturers either have a permanent adhesive, which will scar surfaces when removed, or are static cling for window interiors. All transparent materials are also intended for short term use – normally 60 days or less, as the ink tends to fade quickly.

      Partnerships/Discounts

      Q: How does the partnership work?
      A:  Wallhogs is offering a partnership to any photographer, or similar business, who wishes to offer custom reusable wall graphics to their customers. We offer photographers a global discount wherein you are able to resale the products to your customers. Simply complete the form under the Photographer link to sign up for the free account. Our marketing team will review your application within 24 hours and if approved your account will be tagged with the first tier 25% discount base rate.

      Q: What type of discount is offered and how do I receive it?
      A:  Wallhogs discount structure is based on multiple tiers. Photographers in turn may then resell at retail or mark-up the cost to their customers. All photographers receive a standard initial 25% discount, but can increase their discount by increasing sales. All partner accounts are reviewed monthly and if you achieve the goal, set below, your new discount level will automatically be applied to your account. Once you obtain a specific discount your account will remain at that level until you obtain the next tier, or hit the maximum 35% level.

      Q: Do I have to be a photographer to receive the discount?
      A:  Yes, however we do offer our discount program to other businesses that may wish to sell custom wall graphics. Simply complete the enrollment form and our Marketing Team will review it.

      Graphics Images/Artwork for Custom Products

      Q: What file formats do you accept?
      A:  Wallhogs accepts any of the following file formats which may be uploaded to your account:
      • .jpg
      • .eps
      • .pdf
      • .tiff
      • .svg
      • .psd
      • .ai
      Q: What is the best file format to submit my images as?
      A:  There are two types of graphics file formats; raster or bitmapped and vector. Following are suggested file submission standards:
      • Raster or bitmapped images are digital photographs or scanned images. These files normally have an extension of .jpg or .tiff. Either file format will work, however the higher the resolution of the file the better. Photos require a minimum pixel dimension of 2048x1536, while scanned images must be submitted at 300 dpi.
      • Raster or bitmapped artwork created in a program such as Adobe Photoshop will have file extensions of .jpg, .tiff or .psd. These files can be submitted in any of these formats, however we suggest a resolution of 300 dpi.
      • Vector based images or artwork are normally created in programs like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw. These files have extensions such as .eps, .ai, .pdf or .svg. Any logos, text or solid color artwork is best submitted in one of these four file formats.
      Q: Can I color match my file?
      A:  Per the two types of file formats:
      • Raster or bitmapped images cannot be color matched – only color corrected. Due to the nature of the image being created as millions of pixels, each pixel maintains its own color captured by the CCD in a camera or scanner. These colors are hard coded into the pixel and can only be color adjusted (contrast, brightness, etc).
      • Vector images may be color matched using the PMS or Pantone Color Guide. Wallhogs does utilize this industry standard and can color match your vector file, per the above listed cost of $10 per color. Please contact one of our Customer Service Representatives for more information.
      Q: Why does my .eps, .ai, .pdf, .psd or .svg file not appear once uploaded?
      A:  These types of file formats are all proprietary to the respective companies that created them. Without a license to utilize elements from their programs (such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, etc) it is not possible to display the image. As theses companies require a tremendously large licensing fee we have decided not to pursue this avenue. Instead, your original file name is displayed with your images once uploaded to your account so they may be easily identified for ordering.

      Q: How do I know if my image will work?
      A:  Following are guidelines that should be used to qualify your image:
      • Digital Photos – image must meet minimum resolution requirement of 2048x1536 and subject to be printed should encompass at least 50% of the entire photo.
      • Scanned Images – image must be scanned at 300 dpi to even be considered for reproduction. Wallhogs recommends image be scanned as a .tiff.
      • Logos or Artwork – images produced as artwork in raster based programs such as Adobe Photoshop must be submitted at 300 dpi. Images submitted as vector images must be submitted as .eps, .ai, .pdf or .svg files.
      Q: What are your minimum resolution requirements for an image?
      A:  Subject to be reproduced in photo or artwork should encompass, at least, 50% of the entire photo or canvas and meet the following resolution requirements:
      • Digital Photos – minimum resolution of 2048x1536 is required for upload to your Wallhogs account. Any image not meeting the minimum requirement will not upload. A 2048x1536 resolution is available on any digital camera with a MegaPixel rating of 3 or higher (review your camera manual to determine the correct setting on your camera).
      • Scanned Images – minimum of 300 dpi scan is required for upload and Wallhogs recommends image be scanned as a .tiff.
      • Logos or Artwork – Any raster artwork must be submitted at 300 dpi and meet minimum pixel dimensions of 2048x1536. Vector artwork requires no minimum resolution requirements.
      • Remember - the output quality is only as good as the input quality.  Essentially, garbage in, garbage out.
      Q: Will my digital printing design look just like it does on the computer screen?
      A:  The printed image will appear fairly close to the image on your computer screen. Computer screen and printer resolutions are different, wherein computers use ppi (pixels per inch) to display text or images while printers utilize dpi (dots per inch) to print. Keep in mind computer monitors also backlight the image on your screen whereas printing on different materials and finishes (matte, satin, gloss, etc.) will also affect the appearance of the finished product.  One additional factor will be RGB versus CMYK - all monitors utilize the RGB color gamut to display images while all printers, including your desktop printers, utilize CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black).  In Wallhogs instance we use ten color printers that utilize CMYKLCLMLKORW that include the additional colors light cyan, light magenta, light black, orange red and white.

      Q: How large and how many images can I upload into my personal account?
      A:  Wallhogs no longer offers storage of images in your account due to severe misuse of this service.  However, if you are placing a bulk order of more than 10 images, or your files are larger than 35MB/each, you may contact our Customer Service Department at cs@wallhogs.com to obtain our FTP server information.

      Ordering

      Q: What payment options are available?
      A:  Wallhogs accepts credit cards as well as payment through PayPal. The following forms of payment are accepted:

      Q: Can I purchase multiple items with the same imprint?
      A:  Yes. Simply enter the quantity of each item you wish to order during the order process.

      Q: Do you allow changes to an order?
      A:  Due to the quick turn-around times we can only accept changes or cancellations within the first 12 hours you place your order.

      Q: Can I add different designs to the same order?
      A:  Yes. Simply follow the instructions during the order process.

      Q: How can I provide you specific instructions for my order?
      A:  During the checkout process of ordering each image you are presented with a page requiring selections for; printing image as-is or as a cutout, proof or no proof and a box for any special instructions.

      Q: Can I cancel my order?
      A:  Yes, however only within the first 12 hours of placing your order. If an order is cancelled after the initial 12 hour period and Wallhogs has processed your images, it is at Wallhogs discretion that you may be charged a cancellation fee of $5 per image processed, or a maximum of $100.

      Q: Do I get to see a proof of my artwork before printing?
      A:  Yes, if you select this option during the checkout process. However, the only proofs we seek approval for are the Reusable Vinyl, Wall Decor fabric, Photo-Tex fabric or Photo-Tex EXS fabric wall decals.  Other instances where we may seek proof approvals are when our graphics team feels an image is questionable for enlargement and printing, or when we need to crop a large portion of an image for a glossy poster print or canvas. Proofs are emailed to you within 24-48 business hours after your order is submitted.

      PLEASE ENSURE YOUR EMAIL SPAM FILTER WILL ALLOW MAIL FROM GRAPHICS@WALLHOGS.COM TO DOWNLOAD. ALL PROOFS ARE SENT FROM THIS ADDRESS. FAILURE TO ALLOW ANY MAIL FROM US THROUGH MAY RESULT IN THE DELAY OF YOUR ORDER BEING PROCESSED.

      Q: I never received the email alerting me my proof was ready for review?
      A:  Once our graphics specialists process your image our servers automatically generate the Proof email and send it to the address used to create your Wallhogs account. With the number of different ISP’s and spam filtering software it is difficult to ensure all customers receive this alert. Many times the ISP’s maintain their own spam folder that filters, what they believe, to be spam. In this instance the mail never reaches our customers and we are unable to bypass this issue. We are aware several ISP’s have labeled Wallhogs as spammers and our IT department has attempted to resolve this issue, however once a company is categorized as a spammer it is very difficult to be removed from that list.

      Q: How secure is the order process?
      A:  You can be assured our checkout process is very secure. We use the latest 256-bit SSL (secure socket layer), from one of the largest encryption companies (GlobalSign)  to process your order.

      Q: How can I check the status of my order?
      A:  As we produce all orders submitted within a 3-5 day timeframe it would be difficult to keep a database updated with the exact status of every order.  Once your order ships you will receive that includes tracking information.  However, if you have any concerns or questions pertaining to your order please contact us at cs@wallhogs.com.

      Q: Who do you use for shipping?
      A:  Wallhogs utilizes the services of both the United States Postal Service and UPS. Services offered

      • USPS First Class Package (5-7 day delivery, not guaranteed, only available for small 12" prints)

      UPS

      • Ground (3-5 day delivery, not guaranteed)
      • 3 Day (2-3 day service, guaranteed)
      • 2 Day (1-2 day service, guaranteed)
      • Next Day Air (overnight service, guaranteed)
            IF YOU REQUIRE YOUR PRINTS FOR A CERTAIN DEADLINE WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND SELECTING ONE OF THE UPS GUARANTEED OPTIONS TO ENSURE YOU RECEIVE YOUR PRINTS IN TIME. WALLHOGS WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ORDERS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE IN TIME FOR AN EVENT IF YOU DO NOT SELECT A GUARANTEED DELIVERY METHOD.

      Q: Do you ship to international destinations?

      A:  Unfortunately, due to the new customs regulations for most countries, as well new UPS oversize charges for any package larger than 36", we are unable to offer international shipping to any country due to excessive costs, with the exception of Canada.  Wallhogs offers several U.S. Postal Service options and two UPS shipping methods for Canadian orders:

      • U.S. Postal First Class International for packages weighing less than 1 lb. (15-30 day delivery)
      • U.S. Postal Priority International for packages weighing from 1 lb. up to 10 lbs. (6-10 day delivery)
      • UPS Standard International for any size package (2-7 day delivery, not guaranteed)
      • UPS Worldwide Express for any size package (1-3 day delivery, not guaranteed)

             International pricing does not include duties, taxes or customs fees for USPS or UPS Standard options.  Customs fees, but not duties/taxes, are included for UPS Worldwide Express shipping.

      Q: What are the shipping costs?
      A:  Shipping costs will vary according to the size and number of prints ordered, as well as the zone your zip code is located in compared to our shipping facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As our systems are tied directly into both the USPS and UPS systems, you can place a mock order to determine shipping. Simply place the items in your card, enter your shipping address and you are presented with costs for all shipping alternatives.

      Q: May I utilize my own UPS shipping account?
      A:  Yes, however an additional charge of $2.50 per order is incurred due to the manual entry of your account information into Wallhogs UPS Worldship software.  Also, please be aware starting in 2016 UPS will be charging account holders an additional 2.5% for shipping utilizing 3rd party billing.

      General

      Q: What are your business hours?
      A:  Our business hours are Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Standard for internet customers attempting to reach our Customer Service Representatives. Wallhogs is closed Saturday and Sunday.
           Wallhogs is also closed on the following federal holidays during each calendar year:  New Years Day, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Verterans Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas.  If any of the holidays fall on a weekend then Wallhogs will be closed the Friday prior or Monday after the holiday.  Check with one of our Customer Service Representatives during these times to determine the exact days of closure.

      Q: What is your return policy?

      A:   Wallhogs delivers high quality products and services and we do so with a full 30 day money back guarantee for any products you receive that are damaged or flawed. If your order is damaged in transit we require you to contact Wallhogs within 5 days of delivery taking place so we may file a claim with the appropriate shipping company and to quickly send a brand new replacement for the damaged item. To contact us in the event of damage please send us an email at cs@wallhogs.com and include:

      • Your name
      • Order number
      • Details of the damage
      • Photos of the damage

           If you decide to return an item you ordered due to buyer's remorse, mistake or other reason, within 30 days, all we ask is that you notify Wallhogs at rta@wallhogs.com alerting us you wish to return your product. In the email please provide:

      • Your name
      • Order number
      • Reason for return

           Once we receive your request we will issue an RTA number and instructions to ensure that your return is handled quickly and accurately. In the vast majority of instances we will either email or mail a return call tag to you for shipment of the item back to us. Please note, these are custom products and cannot be resold by Wallhogs so the return shipping costs, as well as a 15% landfill disposal fee, will be deducted from your total refund amount.

      Q: Do you offer volume discounts?
      A:  Yes. Please contact one of our Customer Service Representatives prior to placing any large volume orders. Large volume orders are considered 10+ items.

      Q: Do you charge sales tax?
      A:  Yes, but only on orders shipped to an address within the state of Pennsylvania.  If your business is located in Pennsylvania you may submit a PA From 1220 with your tax exempt number and we will then tag your account as tax-exempt.

      Print Care & Maintenance

      Q: How do I clean my Wallhogs wall decor?
      A:  All of our wall decal and gallery wrapped canvas prints can be simply dusted or be wiped down with a damp cloth.  No cleaning products should be used as they may harm the coating on the prints, thereby causing a cloudy or muddy appearance where the cleaner was used.  Posters can only be dusted with a soft cloth - NO WATER as it will affect the paper.

      Q: Any tips or tricks for installation and care of my custom Wallhogs?
      A:  There are several things you can do for each of the materials. Following are tips and tricks for each:

      Reusable Vinyl
        • Wall temperatures for an average indoor wall where the other side of the wall faces indoors into another room are normally 5-10 degrees less than what your thermostat is set for. For indoor walls where the opposite side faces outdoors, the temperature difference averages between 10-15 degrees cooler than your thermostat. These statistics are for a normal home in the mid-west to north east. They are slightly lower for homes in the south and west. Optimal temperature for a vinyl Wallhog is 60 to 85 degrees. Temperature fluctuations of 10 degrees or more can cause any vinyl print to contract or expand, which may cause the print to begin lifting off the wall surface.
        • Attempt to install your print on an indoor wall as opposed to one that the opposite side is exposed to the outdoors. If you do need to install the print where the other side of the wall is exposed to the outdoors, try not to locate the print next to any windows.
        • You should not install your Wallhogs near any vents as air conditioning will cause the vinyl to contract and pull away from the wall.
        • If air bubbles are trapped and you are unable to push to edge of print for release, simply take a needle (not a pin) and puncture the air bubble. You will then be able to press the air out.

                  • These materials are not affected by temperature so no need to worry about where to install.
                  • Air bubbles can be removed by taking a soft, dry cloth and pushing the air bubble toward the nearest edge.
                  • If used outside(Photo-Tex and Photo-Tex EXS only) and temperature is below 58 degrees F, do not attempt to remove your Wallhog.
                  • When removing your Wallhogs  always peel back the initial 4”-6” then fold back onto itself, place your fingers gingerly on the adhesive and pull to remove. This will reduce stress or stretching of the material.
